An internet meme is a novel information complex integrating information of identical cultural characteristics via the media of texts, images and videos. It is an inevitable product of the information age and has caught wide attention among researchers from computer science, economics, management and various other disciplines. Researches on internet memes in the field of information management focus on meme detection, sentiment analysis, propagation, generation and the effects of internet memes. Multi-modal information processing, machine learning, natural language processing, image processing and other methods and technologies are used in most researches, but few, if any, methods specific to internet memes are proposed.
